A surreal fairytale about a bug named Heir Apparent made by the city sorcerer to become a vessel for Monarch―the hive-mind that presides over the city of bugs. However, something is rotting under the carapace of the city and under the chitin of the royal family itself. Heir Apparent is stifled under the expectant gazes of the current rulers and dreams of being another bug.
A sixteen-page, black and white illustrated short story of ~4k words, perfect for transgender bugs, lovers of worms, and anti-monarchist mushrooms.
